May Loves

May was an amazing month when it comes to discovering new beauty and skincare products, so I'm supeeer excited to share my monthly favourites with you! Between a huge Cult Beauty haul and quite a few fashion splurges, 'twas a good month I must say.

My Charlotte Tilbury Collection

My love for Charlotte Tilbury has kinda started to define me and I must say, I'm pretty okay with that! The Tilbs' eponymous brand has fast become my all time favourite makeup brand (bold claim, I know) and my collection has been growing slowly but steadily. Therefore, today's post is all about my CT collection, keeping in mind there's so many other things still on my wishlist!

Stop Everything! I’ve Found The Best Self Tan Ever

I like to think of myself as quite the self tan connoisseur. I've trialled and tested many self tanners in my lifetime and I have encountered every possible outcome: Cheeto orange limbs, streaky messes, looking like a mild version of Shrek and even a tan turning grey on me. Mega babe, obviously!

I've always had Loving Tan on the back of my mind. I've wanted to try this for YEARS, but I didn't want to risk being hit with nasty customs (the brand is based in Australia), so I kind of thought I'd never be able to get my mitts (pun intended) on it. BUT THEN. Oh, then. Cult Beauty, a.k.a. my life, recently started stocking Loving Tan! Cue: not so silent screams of glee! 'Hooray, I'm finally going to be a golden goddess!', I told myself. So, does this live up to my wild expectations? I'm sure you can guess by the title that it does!

A Cult Beauty Splurge

It's no secret to anyone that Cult Beauty is my favourite beauty retailer – yes, I may even prefer it to Sephora... Let that sink in for a moment. To be honest though, you just can't beat the amazing brands they stock there or even the customer service they provide! It's all top notch and I'm a definite repeat offender when it comes to spending more money than I should there.

My Everyday Makeup Routine

I'm definitely not someone who likes a heavy makeup look in the slightest. Even during Winter, which is probably that time of year where people really like that full coverage and dark hues, I'm still that person who goes for sheer and dewy bases and pinky lips! Because of that, I can do my makeup in about 5 minutes flat – a touch of foundation, fill in my eyebrows, add a bit of mascara, bronzer and blusher and top it all off with an easy, no fuss lipstick. Here are my picks for my everyday face!

My Experience With Lash Extensions

After months of thinking and talking about it, I finally went and got my eyelash extensions! My lashes... Well, my lashes are short and stumpy little devils, which stubbornly face downwards no matter how much I curl and coat them in mascara. Naturally, I was super excited when the opportunity arose for me to get them done! But before we get into that, there's another process I want to tell you about...

Embroidery

I don't know about you, but I'm completely obsessed with embroidery at the moment! This trend is everywhere right now and it makes me SO happy. Zara is absolutely killing it with their stock, I could honestly blow my monthly wages in one go there! #realbankbalancetears

I Found Out How Much My Daily Face Of Makeup Cost...

...and it wasn't pretty. I didn't realise just how much money I was slathering on my face every single day until I broke it down to write this post! My penchant for high end makeup is clearly getting out of hand, it seems. Even though I wish I could save some pennies, few things give me more joy than treating myself to a new high end lipstick or blush, so I don't see my collection dwindling down anytime soon. So without further ado, let's break down just how much my daily face of makeup cost me...

A Mother's Day Gift Guide

O Dia da Mãe é já este domingo e eu confesso que a minha mente é um deserto de ideias. É tão difícil escolher um só presente quando se sente que a Mãe merece o universo e não apenas um creme ou um perfume, não é?
