Only You

Este post é quase como batota, porque este batom já não está disponível nas lojas MAC por ser da coleção limitada da Ellie Goulding, mas não se preocupem, porque sou vossa amiga e vou dar-vos alguns 'dupes' no final! 

Quando soube que a Ellie Goulding ia lançar uma coleção exclusiva para a MAC, babei logo. Primeiro porque os nossos gostos de maquilhagem são idênticos - cores suaves, muito pêssego e rosa, blush subtil, etc - e depois porque gosto imenso da Ellie. É claro que, assim que a coleção chegou às lojas, voou logo em menos de nada, pelo que não consegui pôr as patinhas naquilo que realmente queria: o batom Only You e o blush duo I'll Hold My Breath. O blush foi-se, mas felizmente a minha amiga conseguiu arranjar-me o batom - o último, por sinal! - e cá estamos nós a falar sobre ele ;).

This post is almost like cheating, because this lipstick is no longer available at any MAC counters because it was from Ellie Goulding's limited collection. Don't worry, though, because I'm a darling and I'll give you some dupes at the end of this post! 

When I heard that Ellie Goulding was releasing an exclusive collection for MAC, I drooled on the spot (ew). Firstly because our taste in makeup is very similar - earthy tones, a lot of pink and peach, etc - and also because I really like Ellie. But of course, as soon as the collection hit stores, it flew off the shelves almost immediately, so I couldn't get my hands on the things I wanted: the lipstick in Only You and the blush duo in I'll Hold My Breath. The blush I couldn't get, but my friend managed to get her hands on the lipstick, and here we are to discuss allll about it ;).

'Only You' é descrito pela MAC como um coral subtil com brilho, sendo que é um batom Cremesheen. Esta não é a minha fórmula favorita da MAC - prefiro os Satin ou Matte - mas o facto de ser brilhante e cremoso torna-o perfeito para o verão. É super suave e cremoso, como todos os batons Cremesheen, e não é totalmente opaco, pelo que temos que passar duas ou três vezes para conseguir cobrir por completo os lábios. 

Em cima têm o Only You nos meus lábios - não se assustem com a cara lavada, é para verem como este batom ilumina logo o rosto!

MAC describes only you as a muted mid-tone coral with pearl shimmer, but I feel this is more pink rather than full blown orangey coral on me. This is a Cremesheen, which isn't my favourite MAC formula - I prefer the Satin or Matte lipsticks - but the fact that it's creamy and glossy makes it the perfect summer lip. It's super smooth and creamy, as all Cremesheen lippies are, and it's also not fully opaque, so you do need to pack this on to get it to cover the whole lip.

Above you have Only You on my lips - don't be alarmed by my bare face, it's just so you can see how bright and how this can brighten your face up!

Adoro o packaging deste batom! A coleção da Ellie prima por esta embalagem preta brilhante, diferente da embalagem normal da MAC, e os dois batons têm o símbolo da coleção gravados na bala. A embalagem tem também detalhes rose gold e só por isso já se torna ainda mais maravilhosa, haha.

I love the packaging of this lipstick! All of Ellie's collection has this sleek black packaging on the bullets, contrary to MAC's normal lippies, and both lipsticks have Ellie's collection symbol embossed on them. The packaging also has rose gold details, which makes it extra special to me, haha.

Quanto a 'dupes', a MAC tem alguns: o Peach Blossom (aqui), que é mais tom de pêssego, e o Sunny Seoul, mais rosado. Ainda assim, são os dois Cremesheen e fazem o mesmo efeito, sendo coleção permanente.

As for dupes, MAC has some: Peach Blossom (here), which is more peachy, and Sunny Seoul, which is more pink. Even so, they're both Cremesheen and give you the same effect as Only You, with the added bonus of being permanent.
