Adoro ver a maquilhagem que as pessoas andam a usar. Soa a stalker, eu sei, mas adoro conhecer produtos novos ou até redescobrir alguns que tenho na minha coleção mas que tenham ficado esquecidos com a vinda de alguns 'irmãos' mais novos (acontece-me sempre, serei só eu?!).
Tal como a roupa, nesta fase de transição verão-outono a maquilhagem também muda. As cores mais vivas ficam de lado e entram em cena aqueles tons mais berry, arroxeados, acastanhados... Tudo de bom, basicamente. As minhas escolhas refletem um pouco isso mesmo, mas ainda sem deixar de lado o belo do bronzer e iluminador!
I love seeing people's makeup routines and how they change every so often. It sounds stalker-ish, I know, but I love finding new products and even rediscovering some that were lying forgotten in my drawers because a new 'baby brother or sister' came along (that always happens, is it just me!?).
Just like fashion, makeup also changes as we transition from Summer to Autumn. The brighter hues are tossed aside until Spring and in come the berries, the browns, the purples, the cranberries... All things good in life, basically. My picks reflect a bit of that, even though I'm not ready to let go of my highlighter and bronzer - nor will I ever be!
Base
Já não me lembro da última vez que usei base dois dias seguidos, sinceramente. De vez em quando lá saco dela, só para que não fique triste a acumular pó na gaveta, mas para mim o corretor basta-me. Ainda assim, a Perfection Lumière Velvet da Chanel é a minha base favorita para qualquer ocasião: cobertura super leve, deixa a pele linda e tem um cheirinho bom demais! Uso-a na cor 22 Beige Rose. O corretor é o fiel amigo de todas as ocasiões, o Naked Skin da Urban Decay.
Truth is, I can't remember the last time I wore foundation two days in a row. Every now and again I have that moment of, 'oh, let me pop on a bit of foundation for the day' but, for the most part, foundations just sit collecting dust on my drawers. Even so, Chanel's Perfection Lumière Velvet is my go to foundation and probably my favourite of all time, as it's perfect for every occasion: light coverage, makes the skin look stunning and it smells so utterly delicious! My shade is 22 Beige Rose. For concealer, my trusty Naked Skin by Urban Decay.
Eyes
Super básico, como sempre - não sou de fazer looks elaborados com sombras nem eyeliner, aliás, não tenho jeitinho nenhum. Para as pestanas, a máscara Better Than Sex da Too Faced para as superiores e a Lash Sensational da Maybelline para as inferiores. A sombra é a Color Tattoo da Maybelline na cor On & On Bronze - espalho-a por toda a pálpebra e esbato; fácil, rápido e bonito! Para terminar tenho gostado de utilizar o lápis High Brow da Benefit como lápis de olhos na linha de água, abre imenso o olhar.
Super minimal, as usual - I'm not one to go wild on the eyes with eyeshadow trickery or eyeliner, mainly because I bloody suck at it. For lashes, I use Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara on the upper lashes and Maybelline Lash Sensational on the lower lashes. Eyeshadow is Maybelline's Color Tattoo in the shade On & On Bronze - pat it all over the lid and blend. Easy, quick and pretty! To wrap up, I've been loving wearing the Benefit High Brow pencil as an eyeliner on my waterline, it really opens up the eyes so much.
Cheeks
Para as bochechas, tenho um bebé novo e uma redescoberta. A nível de bronzer, tenho adorado usar este Vivid Baked Bronzer da Makeup Revolution na cor Ready To Go! Adoro tudo que seja baked, quer sejam bronzers ou blushes, e este definitivamente não desilude no que toca ao calor e luminosidade que dá ao rosto. E por falar em luminosidade, até quero bater em mim própria por não ter dado a devida atenção a este iluminador nos últimos meses! Falo sobre o Sin da Urban Decay, um iluminador mega intenso mas sem purpurinas ou aquele aspeto rasca, mesmo perfeito. Review aqui.
For the cheeks, a newbie and a rediscovery. Bronzer wise, I've been loving wearing this Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Bronzer in the shade Ready To Go! I love baked anything, be it bronzers or blushes, and this one definitely doesn't disappoint in the warmth and glow department. Speaking of glow, I can't believe I've left this to pick up dust on my drawer! I'm talking about Sin by Urban Decay, a super intense highlighter with no chunks of glitter whatsoever. Review here.
