Very Victoria

Na minha opinião, há uma linha que separa marcas de elite de marcas caras. Ao ouvir a Charlotte Tilbury, a lendária makeup artist das estrelas, falar sobre todos os seus produtos de uma forma tão apaixonada, envolvente e entusiasmante, é difícil não querer dar um braço e metade de uma perna por um batom ou qualquer outro produto dela, na verdade... Foi tão difícil que acabei por fazê-lo - e não me arrependo nada.

Demorei a escolher - a oferta é tanta e tão boa -, mas este meu amor pelos nudes acastanhados com toque malva fez-me optar pelo Very Victoria, o nude inspirado na posh Victoria Beckham. 

In my opinion, there's a line that separates elite brands from expensive brands. Listening to Charlotte Tilbury, the legendary makeup artist to the stars, speak about her products in such an enthusiastic, passionate and compelling way, it's hard not to agree to give an arm and half your leg for one of her products. That's exactly what happened - and, you know what, I don't regret it one bit.

It took me a while to pick - there's just so many amazing shades - but my love for a good tawny brown nude with pink undertones was what ultimately made me go for Very Victoria, which is Victoria Beckham's nude.

The Packaging

Quando a encomenda chegou e me deparei com esta decadência, quase que tombei desmaiada no chão. Até a caixa da encomenda é deliciosa! A combinação de bordeaux e rose gold é de morrer... É sem dúvida o batom mais bonito que já vi! O formato do batom em si é também super interessante porque é diferente de todos os outros batons que já vi - a bala quase quadrada permite uma aplicação precisa e fácil.

Com a minha encomenda, tive ainda direito a 2 amostras, mais uma amostra complementar do novo perfume da Charlotte. As duas amostras que escolhi foram a base Magic Foundation, que decidi experimentar no tom 2 Fair, e o Magic Eye Cream, para o contorno dos olhos. 

Obvs, I have to squeal about this. When the postman rang my doorbell and I saw this, I felt immediately faint. The combination of burgundy and rose gold is the stuff my dreams are made of, and the packaging of the actual lipstick, friends. THE PACKAGING. Hands down the most beautiful lippie I've ever seen. The shape of the actual lipstick bullet is awesome - this squared tip makes for such a precise and flawless application!

With my order, I was able to pick out 2 samples plus a complementary sample of her new fragrance. The two samples I picked out were of the Magic Foundation - I opted for 2 Fair - and the Magic Eye Cream, because my eyes desperately need one.

The Lipstick

Agora, o que verdadeiramente importa, o bebé. A Charlotte descreve o Very Victoria como sendo um nude camurça com um toque de cinzento. Para mim, é o batom perfeito para o dia a dia, principalmente se gostam daquela vibe 90's. E se a palavra matte vos assusta, deixem-se disso: esta fórmula é muito confortável e hidratante, mas dura imenso nos lábios! A sério, nunca experimentei um batom matte que fosse TÃO confortável e leve nos lábios, até me esqueço que estou a usar batom!

Now, what really matters... This angel baby cinnamon roll sprinkled with chocolate chips. Charlotte describes Very Victoria as being a suede lipstick with hints of taupe - and it's become an everyday staple for me. If you love that 90's vibe, you'll adore this! And don't let the matte bit fool you, because this is more of a satin finish which is super comfortable but long lasting. Really gals, this is hands down the MOST comfortable lipstick - matte or otherwise - I have ever worn. Like, I'm beyond blown away by this formula?!

Prices & Where To Buy

É claro que este luxo não é barato - aliás, é um balúrdio. O batom custa 30€ (até me dói o peito dizer isto), mas é um miminho que sabe bem de vez em quando. Comprei-o no site da Charlotte Tilbury e tive que pagar portes, é claro, mas antes os portes eram 9.95€ e agora são 3.95€, muito mais acessível na minha opinião (mas continuo a odiá-los de morte).

Demorou um pouco a chegar - encomendei no dia 7 e chegou no dia 18 - mas não tenho queixas quanto à transportadora. No geral, mega recomendo! Toda a atenção ao detalhe (até na própria encomenda) é maravilhosa.

Of course this sort of luxe doesn't come cheap - in fact, it's a bloody arm and a leg. The lipstick costs 30€ (or £23), but it's a lovely treat every once in a while, which is my excuse all the time. I got it on Charlotte Tilbury's website and I had to pay shipping, of course, but the good news is it's now down from the previous 9,95€ to 3,95€, which is much more affordable - even though I still hate shipping fees!

It took a good while to come - ordered on the 7th but it only came on the 18th - but I have no complaints as far as the condition of my parcel, which was pristine. Overall, couldn't recommend shopping at CT's website as opposed to a regular beauty shop - the attention to detail, the luxury of the packaging and the complementary samples are beyond amazing.
