My LuMee Case

Who doesn't enjoy a good selfie? It's good for the soul, y'know. Myself personally, I'm the kind of gal who will take 10-15 selfies until I get the perfect one, that I'll then distribute all over Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and all, à la basic b*tch ;). Sometimes, though, it's all a bit of a hassle – the lighting sucks, your makeup doesn't show up properly on camera, yadda yadda. Well, there's now a solution for it: the LuMee case! 

Então, quem não gosta de uma boa selfie? Faz bem à alma, já sabem. Falando por mim, sou menina de tirar 10-15 selfies em busca daquela 'perfeita', que passa depois a ser distribuída pelo Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc, mesmo à basic b*tch ;). Às vezes, porém, há aqueles entraves chatos – pouca luz, a makeup top que fizemos e a câmara não está a apanhar como dever ser... Pois bem, agora já há uma solução: a capa LuMee!

   

So what is the LuMee case, exactly? Basically, it's Kim Kardashian's best friend – and now mine, too! This is a case that resembles a vanity mirror with lights, very Hollywood-esque, to light up our selfies. The bulky (very bulky, actually) case is surrounded by tiny white lights around the edges. 

Então mas o que é mesmo a LuMee case? Basicamente, é a melhor amiga da Kim Kardashian – e agora a minha, também! É uma capa que mais parece aqueles espelhos rodeados de luzes, mesmo à Hollywood, para iluminar as nossas selfies. A capa - que é bem grossa, diga-se –, está rodeada de pequenas luzinhas brancas ao longo das bordas da capa.

There's a ton of awesome stuff about this case. Firstly, the lights are neither too yellow nor too blue, they're just the right colour to make you glow. Like, literal Snapchat filter come to life, kinda glow. Secondly, the same button that turns the case lights on also has a dimmer to regulate their intensity – how fab?! And then, it comes with its own USB charger and the battery life is pretty good if you, like me, only turn the lights on when you're taking a selfie. Charging time is approximately half an hour, I'd say. 

Há muita coisa ma-ra-vi-lho-sa acerca desta capinha. Primeiro, as luzes não são nem muito amareladas, nem muito azuladas, são a cor certa para nos fazer ficar radiantes e iluminadas. Sabem aqueles filtros do Snapchat? É isso, a toda a hora. Depois, o mesmo botão que se usa para ligar as luzes da capa tem um regulador da intensidade das mesmas. E, já agora, a capa vem com um carregador USB próprio para ela, mas a bateria dura imenso. Demora também pouco a carregar, mais ou menos meia hora.

Because it's an American thing, it was hard to find this case in Europe, especially in tiny ol' Portugal. Luckily I stumbled upon a portuguese online tech store called eThings and it was love and glee at first sight! I quickly ordered mine in gold for the iPhone 6S (rose gold was sold out, bummer) on a Monday morning and it came the following morning, so I was beyond chuffed with that. 

Por ser um produto americano, não é muito fácil encontrá-la na Europa e especialmente no nosso pequeno Portugal. Felizmente encontrei uma lojinha online completamente por acaso, a eThings, que vende estas capas a preços bem simpáticos. Encomendei a minha em gold para o iPhone 6S (o rose gold estava esgotado) na segunda de manhã e chegou terça de manhã, com um serviço ótimo e personalizado!

   

So, do you need this? If you've got a few euros to spare and are absolutely selfie obsessed, then YES! I for one don't regret getting this at all and I can't seem to get enough of it. 

Então, precisam desta capa? Se têm algum dinheiro de parte e adoram uma boa selfie, então SIM! Não me arrependo de todo de a ter comprado e não me vejo a separá-la do meu iPhone...
