Girl Meets Pearl

A couple weeks ago I went to my Heaven on Earth (aka, Sephora) to get the Sweet Peach Glow palette and ran into the sweetest Benefit SA. Half an hour of beauty chatter later, she applied some gorg makeup on my face, including the new (and stunning!) GALifornia blush, the ever so famous Watt's Up highlighter and Girl Meets Pearl. I also fell in love with the first two goodies (soon, my pretties), but it was Girl Meets Pearl that truly stole my heart the minute I looked in the mirror. 

Há coisa de duas semanas fiz uma visitinha ao meu Paraíso na Terra (também conhecido como Sephora) e encontrei uma menina super simpática no corner da Benefit. Meia hora de conversa depois, ela aplicou-me alguns produtinhos, incluindo o novo blush GALifornia (lindo de morrer), o iluminador super famoso Watt's Up e o Girl Meets Pearl. Apesar de me ter apaixonado pelos dois primeiros (em breve, minhas riquezas), foi o Girl Meets Pearl que me roubou o coração assim que me vi ao espelho. 

If you're confused as to what this product actually does, allow me to explain because I was just as confused: in my eyes, this isn't a primer nor a highlighter, it's more of a pink liquid pearl luminiser with light reflecting particles to give you the most exquisite, radiant glow. You can use it underneath your foundation, blended with your foundation, over it (the way I like to use it) or even alone for a bit of a healthy glow as you go about your day. 

When I left Sephora, I kept stopping at every mirror in stores to check myself out (that NEVER happens). Gals, I was FEELING mahself! This really is something like a Photoshop filter for your face. It also includes raspberry and chamomile extracts to soothe the skin and it hasn't broken my super sensitive skin out, so that's amazing. I twist it up once, spread it on my face, blend it in using my Zoeva 102 Silk Finish brush and ta-da! Glowy skin galore.

Se estão tão confusas quanto eu relativamente a este produto, permitam-me que explique: para mim, isto não é nem primer, nem iluminador convencional – é mais um líquido rosa pérola que ilumina todo o rosto, com particulas de luz que dão um aspeto super glowy e saudável à cara. Podem usar debaixo da base, misturada com ela ou por cima dela (como eu uso), ou até mesmo sozinho para dar um boost de luminosidade ao rosto em dias mais chilled out. 

Quando saí da Sephora, não conseguia parar de me olhar ao espelho em cada loja onde entrava (algo que NUNCA acontece). Meninas, I was feeling maaa-self! É mesmo como um filtro para o rosto, quase que "apaga" as imperfeições e faz com que a luminosidade do nosso rosto seja o ponto focal. Um pump é suficiente para mim, aplico no rosto e espalho com o meu pincel 102 Silk Finish da Zoeva.  




The packaging is uber cute (obvs) and you get 12ml of product for about 36€ (quite expensive, IMO). I got it on offer at Sephora with 20% however, and I've been LOVING it, a little goes a long way so you do get quite a lot of bang for your buck here ;). 

Oh, and oily gals, don't worry: this doesn't make you incredibly oily, but it can look a bit shiny at the end of the day! However, it's not that greasy bacon shine we hate, it's more of a 'I'm-healthy-af-shine' that I welcome with open arms. 

O packaging é de morrer (é a Benefit, obvs) e têm 12ml de produto por cerca de 36€ (puxado, na minha opinião, mas comprei-o com 20% de desconto na Sephora). No entanto, tenho-o usado de todas as vezes que me maquilho e só precisam de um bocadinho, portanto vai durar-vos bastante tempo! 

Ah, e meninas com a pele mista a oleosa como a minha: não vão ficar com a pele a parecer uma tira de bacon acabadinha de sair do tacho, se bem que podem parecer um pouquinho brilhantes no final do dia. Ainda assim, é um brilhinho bom que dá aquele ar saudável que eu adoro!
