Sou literalmente obcecada com iPhones (e tecnologia, em geral). É a única coisa na qual eu, Tio Patinhas, justifico um investimento mais avultado, porque é algo que uso e que está colado a mim 24 horas por dia. Nem sequer consigo pensar em mudar para um Samsung ou Android em geral, mesmo que me pagassem – só para verem a minha panca.
É por isso que todos os setembros são Natal para mim. Adoro os keynotes da Apple, todos os anos há novidades top e este ano foi fenomenal: foram lançados os novos iPhone 8 e 8 Plus e o inovador iPhone X. Então, porque é que optei pelo 8 Plus e não o 8 normal ou até mesmo o XPTO iPhone X?
I'm literally obsessed with iPhones (and technology in general). It's the one thing I, Scrooge McDuck, can justify seriously investing in, because it's something I use and carry with me 24/7. I can't even imagine switching to a Samsung or any Android device even if you paid me to – that's how committed I am!
Because of that, every September is like Christmas for me. I love Apple's keynotes, every year is more innovative than last and this year's was phenomenal – they unveiled the new iPhone 8 and 8 Plus, as well as the brand new, state of the art iPhone X. So why did I choose the 8 Plus and not the regular 8 or the brand new X?
one. A câmara – Tinha o 6s normal antes de comprar o 8 e o motivo que me levou a comprá-lo foi, sem dúvida, a câmara. O modo portrait é incrível e a qualidade é simplesmente fantástica, ainda melhor do que pensava! Para quem não sabe, este telemóvel tem uma lente basicamente igual à minha Canon 50mm, a lente que uso para fotografar para o blog, e isto significa que não preciso de levar a minha DSLR para todo o lado quando quero tirar fotos de qualidade.
two. Um telemóvel maior – Escolhi o Plus e não o 8 normal porque ADORO telemóveis enormes! Adoro ter um ecrã gigante e agora que o tenho, o meu 6s parece um bebé recém-nascido quando pego nele. Já não quero outra coisa!
three. O iPhone X é feio – Vamos ser sinceros... Aquele ecrã? Nope. Posso muito bem mudar de ideias daqui a uns anos, mas não gosto nada do design. Para além disso, o X é o primeiro telemóvel da nova era, pelo que vai chegar cheio de erros e problemas antes que a Apple o consiga aperfeiçoar. Ah, e o preço... O PREÇO.
four. É lindo de morrer – Um segredo: eu ia comprar o preto. Se tivesse comprado o 7 Plus, era o preto matte (lindo!) que vinha comigo para casa. Mas depois vi a nova cor, um dourado creme, e fiquei tão rendida que não consegui deixar de pensar nele. É muito mais bonito do que o dourado amarelo e do que o rosa do 7, na minha opinião.
five. A capacidade – Passei de um iPhone de 16GB para um de 64GB e adoro! Estava sempre a apagar fotos porque ficava sem espaço, o que não dava para mim. Agora posso tirar as fotos que quiser sem me preocupar com o espaço.

Portrait mode is the main feature I was after and the quality is just INCREDIBLE, even better than I had imagined! For a blogger, this means I don't have to carry my huge DSLR with me everywhere.

two. A bigger phone – The reason why I chose the Plus instead of the normal 8 is because I was desperate to have a bigger phone! I love having a huge screen and now that I have it, my old 6s feels like a tiny baby when I pick it up. So strange!
three. The iPhone X is ugly – Let's just be real... That screen? Nope. I may change my mind in a few years time, but I just don't care for the design. Plus, this is the first iPhone of it's kind, so I'm sure there will be a ton of glitches until they perfect it. Also, the price. THE PRICE.
four. It's freaking beautiful – Let me be honest with you, I was gonna get the black. I was dead set on that colour because the matte black iPhone 7 is goooorgeous... but then I saw the new gold colour. A creamy gold rather than the yellow-ish one of the 7?! AND a sturdy and sleek glass back? I just couldn't say no.
five. The space – I went from a 16GB phone to a 64GB one and I'm pretty damn pleased about it! I toyed with the idea of getting the 7 in the 128GB capacity, but ultimately decided that 64GB was enough for me and my photos.
