Luxo, luxo, luxo! Quem não conhece a Jo Malone e as suas famosas colónias? Pouca gente, imagino... Os aromas são únicos, as combinações incomparáveis e são um belo presente para quem mais amamos ou mesmo from me to me - a minha opção! O meu Chloé já está a dar as últimas e como passar sem perfume é impossível para mim, quis mimar-me e comprar uma colónia que já queria há imenso tempo: a Mimosa and Cardamom.
Luxury, luxury, luxury! Who doesn't know Jo Malone and her famous colognes? Few people, I'd imagine. The scents are unique, the combinations incomparable and they're a wonderful gift for any loved ones or even from me to me - which was what I did the other day! My Chloé perfume is running low and I cannot exist without being covered in perfume, so I decided to treat myself to a cologne I'd been lusting for for ages: the Mimosa and Cardamom.
Sou definitivamente adepta de aromas amadeirados e florais bem intensos (não é à toa que o Flowerbomb ou Candy são dois dos preferidos de sempre), portanto apaixonei-me assim que cheirei esta colónia. A mimosa dá o floral enquanto o cardamomo - especiaria da família do gengibre - se encarrega de acrescentar a pitada amadeirada que torna o perfume tão intenso e sedutor. É verdadeiramente delicioso e dura imenso na pele. Para mim, o aroma é tão bom e quase hipnotizante, certamente um dos meus favoritos de sempre.
I'm definitely a fan of that woody and floral mix. I like my perfumes intense and overpowering (Flowerbomb and Candy are two of my all time favourites), so I fell instantly in love with the Mimosa and Cardamom cologne as soon as I got a whiff of it. While the other combinations are either too fresh, citrusy or downright condiment oriented, this one has the floral touch of the mimosa and just the right amount of cardamom - ginger like - to make it heady, intense and seductive. I adore the almost powdery scent of it (I love powdery perfumes) and this one feels almost hypnotising, it's truly something else.
Olhem só para estes detalhes... Ir a um balcão Jo Malone é uma experiência fantástica, o atendimento é ótimo e super personalizada e cada compra acaba por se tornar mais especial por todo o processo: a escolha da frangrância (há mais de 20 por onde escolher e há cada combinação mais ma-ra-vi-lho-sa!), o embrulho, o luxo em cada detalhe... É muito especial e faz-nos logo sentir melhor e mais 'fancy'. Serei só eu? ;). O preço é um bocado puxado, tendo em conta que são 30ml - acabamos por pagar o mesmo nas grandes marcas como Chanel, YSL ou Dior -, mas entendo que seja um entrave. Existe também a versão 100ml.
Em Portugal podem encontrar a Jo Malone nos El Corte Inglés de Gaia e Lisboa, e a embalagem de 30ml tem o custo de 52€.
Just look at these details! Going to a Jo Malone counter is a delightful experience, the staff are super friendly and welcoming and each purchase becomes so special; choosing the fragrance (there's over 20 combinations, each more delicious than the other), the wrapping, the luxury in each detail... You end up feeling special and taken care of, I left feeling super fancy carrying my little bag ;). The price is a bit steep, considering it's a tiny 30ml bottle - even though we pay the same amount for a 30ml bottle of any Chanel, YSL or Dior perfume - but it's obviously not a cheap one. There is also the 100ml version.
In Portugal you can find Jo Malone stands in El Corte Inglés (Gaia and Porto) and the 30ml bottle costs 52€.
