...é este champô da Davines. Sou daquelas pessoas que trata super bem do meu cabelo, especialmente desde que ele começou a cair devido à minha doença autoimune em 2013. Desde aí, o meu cabelo passou por muito: pontas descoloradas, irritação do couro cabeludo, queda de cabelo... Tudo e mais alguma coisa.
Quando o nosso cabelo está estragado a este ponto, é importante largar aqueles champôs que encontram em promoção no supermercado e investir um pouco mais em produtos que recuperem e nutram bem o vosso cabelo. Para mim, esse investimento teve um retorno espetacular com a Davines, uma marca de família italiana que é um dos pesos pesados da indústria do cabelo.
...is this Davines shampoo. I'm someone who prides herself in the fact I take excellent care of my hair. Ever since it started to fall out due to my autoimmune disease, all the way back in 2013, my hair has gone through a lot of things. Ends bleached, scalp flakiness, hair loss... You name it, my hair's been there.
When your hair is this damaged and in need of some TLC, you have to scrap whatever cheap drugstore shampoos that are on offer and realise you have to invest in quality products to give back shine and health to your tresses. For me, that investment paid back in spades with Davines, an Italian family founded brand that is a heavyweight in the hair industry.
Optei pelo OI/ Shampoo, um champô que suaviza o cabelo e que devolve o brilho e corpo ao mesmo. Ora, para mim a parte do volume não se concretizou (tenho muito cabelo, mas é fino e sem volume) mas quanto ao brilho... Menina, e que brilho! O cabelo fica super macio, brilhante e com aquele aspeto super saudável de quem acabou de sair do salão! É muito cremoso (mas não pesado) e faz alguma espuma – não muita, é formulado sem sulfatos –, deixando o cabelo com aquela sensação super limpa (mas não em demasia) e de hidratação profunda. Tenho pontas SUPER secas e este champô deixa-as sedosas e lindas, sendo que também cuida das minhas raízes mais oleosas. Win/win!
Uma coisa que não gosto muito é do cheiro – é bem difícil de explicar, mas é assim maduro e cítrico, um pouco estranho mas não é desagradável de todo, ainda que perdure no cabelo. Gosto, porém, da embalagem! Faz-me lembrar aquelas garrafinhas de leite antigas, super minimalistic e chic. Até gosto do facto de não ter dispersor, estranhamente consigo controlar bem a quantidade a usar.
Custando £16 (19€) está situado beeem no espectro dos produtos de luxo para o cabelo, mas para mim vale cada cêntimo. Dura-vos uma eternidade – 280ml de produto e só precisam de usar o tamanho de uma moeda de 1€ – e já quero mais produtos da linha, como o condicionador e o All in One Milk. I opted for the OI/ Shampoo, a softening shampoo that claims to give shine and body to the hair. Now, I don't know about body (my hair is very limp as it is, so body is a hard thing to achieve anyway), but booooy, does it deliver on the shine front! This is a very creamy (but not thick) shampoo that lathers very well, leaving the hair feeling extremely clean but not stripped at all, just deeply moisturised. My hair is a tough crowd to please, mind, because I have extremely dry ends and greasy roots, and the fact this tends to BOTH this issues at once is more than amazing, to be fair. It doesn't weigh it down, either, so win/win!

One thing I'm not too keen on is the smell – I can only describe it as being a bit mature and citrusy, and it does linger on the hair for a good while after you wash it. Still, that doesn't keep me from using (and loving) this shampoo! I am, however, SUPER keen on the packaging! I love this minimal yet beautiful design, which reminds me of those old school milk bottles. I also like the fact this doesn't have a pump, weirdly it makes me not waste as much product and it's very easy to pour out and use.
At £16 a pop, this is definitely on the luxury hair care spectrum, but considering you only need a tiny amount for each wash and that this is a 280ml bottle, it'll last you a fairly long time (depending on how often you wash your hair, of course). All in all I'm super impressed and grateful I had the inkling to pick this up, I'm now eyeing the OI/ All in One Milk and the OI/ Conditioner from the range! Everything is available at Cult Beauty.
