My Top 2 Primark Brushes

Vim só aqui dizer-vos uma coisinha: gastar dinheiro em pincéis é horrível. Pronto, é verdade, que fazer? Adoro de morte os pincéis da Zoeva, são os meus favoritos da vida, mas quase que me dá o abafo quando olho para o preço dos sets. 80€?! 16€ por um pincel individual?! A sério? Nope, cancelado.

Maaaas... E se vos disser que podem comprar pincéis bem macios e eficazes por menos de 3€? Sim, sim, ouviram bem! E onde? Na Primark, pois claro!

I'll just get out here and say it: spending money on brushes is not the one. I die for Zoeva brushes, they're my absolute favourite of life, but I practically have a heart attack every time I look at the tempting brush sets that come with an 80€ and over price tag. Like, no. So that's cancelled. 

But... What if I told you that you can get nice, soft brushes for less than 3€ each? Yes, yes, you heard me right. Where, you ask? Primark, obvs! 




Eu sei, há aquele ideia de que 'é da Primark, é barato, é uma merda'. Também já pensei assim, mas nada disso. Confesso que antes os pincéis eram terríveis, mas a Primark fez uma remodelação total à secção de beleza e lançou novos pincéis, mais macios e com detalhes rose gold - os olhos também comem, né?

Portanto, passemos aos meus pincéis favoritos!

Now, before you roll your eyes and scoff in disgust, hear me out. I know there's that stigma of, 'it's Primark, it's cheap, it's shit' (hey, it rhymes!). I had that mentality too. Yes, the brushes they had before were horrible, but they recently revamped their beauty section and brought out new, softer, denser and beautiful looking brushes - rose gold, people, am I gonna resist? Nope.

Now, let's stop the chatter and go right on to the brushes!

— Smokey Eye Brush: Este pincel é ótimo para criar um look de olhos subtil mas muito bonito. Esfuma muito bem as sombras (as cerdas são muito macias e conseguem espalhar o produto uniformemente) e a outra ponta do pincel é perfeita para fazer o eyeliner em gel. // This brush is great for those subtle but gorgeous eye looks. It blends eyeshadow beautifully (the bristles are super soft and easy to work with) and the other end of the brush is ideal for gel eyeliner.

— Powder & Blush Brush: Este pincel duplo é ótimo para aplicar pó e blush - especialmente se forem como eu e detestarem pincéis de blush muito grandes. As cerdas são muito macias e distribuem bem o produto. // I love dual ended brushes, especially if they're powder and blush oriented! If you're like me and you don't like large blusher brushes, this one is perfect for you. The bristles are silky soft and distribute the product evenly.

Evitem: O pincel de base, porque sente-se mesmo que é baratuxo (e também não entendo como é que se consegue aplicar base com um pincel de pintar a casa) e as faux beauty blenders, porque são duras como pedras e não vão conseguir o efeito desejado.

Avoid: the dual ended foundation brush, because you can definitely feel it's cheap and not good (and also, how do you apply foundation with a painter's brush?!) and the faux beauty blenders, because they're hard as flipping rocks and you won't get the desired effect.
